today I am thankful

I have this lovely friend named Brittany. She and I play tennis together and I have always thought of her so highly...I wanted her to be my friend for forever!! She is so cute and just makes everything seem better.

Today she let me pour out my soul to her. It was so nice to have someone to talk to about hard stuff that life throws at us..she and I talked for a long while after tennis. I love her. she is so close to Christ and just makes me feel happy in a special way. I wish her so much joy.

ITS LABOR DAY!!!

I love this holiday because it lets me skip school and relax …for really no reason.

This labor day I’m feeling sassy and whimsical. I want to make crafts and bake. So I think I will. There.

Who feels scared when alone, responsible for Parker and happy when singing

Who has been to the top of the waterfall, under a fallen bike and in the depths of humility

Who needed advice from Anna, answers from the spirit and a good book on a rainy day

Who fears illness, crudeness and being touched on the neck

Who gives a shoulder to cry on, the simple joy of a card game and the music of a trombone

Who longs for blueberries, a chance to see the ocean and to live in the mountains

Who would have liked to see her grandmother’s childhood dreams come true, the friends lost to return and simplicity in the world

this has been a most adventerous and busy week.

SATURDAY august 25th

Parker and I had a date <3
I needed to go get notepads for my trombone section at the oh so prestigeous dollar-tree. and Parker just had to go to Ray's apple market to get this special toy someone told him about. "oh gosh! its a buildable fort that only costs $1!! It also gives you a free puppy!" exact words.

so when we got to rays we were a little disapointed that there was no such thing.

we ate our sorrows away at IHOP

that same day I had the trombones from the MHS marching band come to my house for a sectional

Later I babysat this sweet little piece of sunshine:

everytime I go over there we have a tea party of gold fish and punch.

I love it and miss those days.

she and I then played in the rain! we saw a poor little cat caught in it and felt so sad :( then we got scared when it came toward us. haha but we kept an eye on it and it eventually made it home

MONDAY august 27th

I had my 1st tennis match of the season. I lost. :(

TUESDAY august 28th

went to bluestem to blow off some steam with my friends :):)

I had the best hot cocoa imaginable and felt good.

this is Nick. He is a math wizard and he found the chalkboard table and proceeded to show us cool math pictures, I have no clue how they worked but it was so fun to see him so excited
