eyes, hair and dinner

So you know how yesterday I had the most lazy day ever? well today was pretty much the opposite.

I woke up this morning to go to a hair cut appt. at 8:30.

I got ready and dressed and proceeded to put on my make up...

I was just finishing up my right eye with mascara when I noticed that since i'm right handed, I couldnt make both eyelashes look the same because I could not get to the inner lashes on my right eye with my right hand.. so I switched hands and all was going well...until I got too close.

I scraped my mascara brush over my eyeball.

and the first thing I wanted to do after rinsing out my eye was to take a picture for blogging purposes:

so there you have it.

when I explained what happened to my mom, she was getting me a glass of water for some medicine...and I knocked it out of her hands because my eyes were closed haha

                                             

I then went against my better judgement and decided to wait to go to the doctor, but go get my hair cut instead. :)

I pried open my eye for this picture.

Then I decided I really needed to go to the doctor. I found out there that I scratched my cornea. 

awesome.

I was issued some eye drops and a recommendation to get some eye patches if it would help.

then I was planning on going to my friend's fancy birthday party at olive garden.

my eye hurt so much I had to wear the eye patch...

 It was super fun and embarrassing.  while I was eating...I came across a bobby pin in my entree.. SCORE! free food. yesh. all the lovely girls then said it was because I was a cripple. we laughed a bunch and I was going on about my incident that morning when all the girls just started staring at me.. the manager of Olive Garden had been kneeling on my right side for a while and I hadn't noticed him because of my patch...I jumped so high when I saw            

we then went to Orange leaf <3

we went to the mall and tried on hideous shoes.

and discovered the new fragrance at Bath and Body Works

You know how it is with girls and their beauty notions

so today, as it was a lazy day, I decided to use this day with the home to myself (for the most part) to do a little something with my -DO to make it less dry and grody

I found a pic on Pinterest that assured me my hair would look like a gorgeous waterfall when I was through. 

and it involved egg yolks.

you can never go wrong with that.

Did it do anything? probably not....although I did leave it in for about 20 minutes too long because I was distracted my Miley Stewart's love life....It still stinks after shampooing 2ice.

We had parent teacher conferences for the past two days at MHS…so you know what that means….

NO SCHOOL

That’s right…it’s a Friday and I have no commitments.  these days I love because It’s not technically the weekend and so I'm not really required to do anything productive....except I probably should...

so today I bought this dress from Shabby Apple

I love it and I can’t wait to wear it and pretend to be a little house wife from the 60’s <3

I want to be a sewing master.

Remember the bows I made here? well I wore one today and got a ton of compliments. I know. be impressed. but now I just want to make more and more. is that a good reason? probably not. but now I have this desire to be a super good seamstress...so I went and bought a sewing machine.

Life is worth getting a sewing machine.

How was your Sunday? Mine was lovely...we had a lesson today in young women about dating- love that awkward topic- but I recently had to make some decisions about my dating choices..they were hard to make, but this lesson helped me feel even better about the decision, and that it was worth it..

tomorrow I get to go to a camp with my lovely IPS class  It is going to be a blasstttt!!!

every year, there is a big fall musical that is put on at Manhattan High School. I have been involved all 3 lovely years I have attended:

Year 1: Bye Bye Birdie

i'm somewhere in the middle of that group. Do you see the two people on the left with 

green wigs? That was my glorious role of an oompa loompa.

this production was super fun. I was a ballet girl for the show.

I got the role of Hedy! A spunky flirty secretary. I questioned doing the role in the beginning..because she is so...not like me. but I talked it over with my parents and we decided that it would be a fun opportunity. 

So here goes!

This touches my heart so deeply. Taylor Swift was on "Stand up to Cancer". She wrote a song about a little boy who lost a battle with cancer. His mom helped Taylor write the song, if you want to buy this song, "Ronan", on itunes, all proceeds go to helping cancer patients.

what a day.

Today was intense.

I woke up, went to lovely lovely church, then came home and proceeded to make a yummy pizza.  I asked my mom if we could put some pineapple on it...next thing I know my mom is bleeding profusely over a slit can of the delicious yellow fruit.

it was scary.

we went to the hospital where we found out she had cut a tendon and would be needing surgery in a few days...

I felt bad for suggesting the pineapple..

but she was a trooper and was awesome and funny even with her tendon going back in her arm.
